Hello, my name is Terry and I am the owner of SELFitness Personal Training, and a fully qualified Personal Trainer. I began using a gym at the age of 16 and soon realised that I wanted to help people achieve their goals. I took my Diploma in Sports Therapy and Personal Training at the age of 21. My first job in a gym was in a 5 star hotel in Guernsey which gave me the opportunity to gain experience in training people on a one to one basis. I returned to England a year later and have since been training clients at their homes and parks for 25 years - and I love every minute of it! I like the fact that each client is different and each have their own goals and targets. Personal Training isn't just about having someone by your side its about having on hand knowledge and guidance, someone who can spot mistakes you are making and at the same time praise you on things you do well.
Personal Training has many advantages. For one you train at your own pace in the comfort of your own home, park, or wherever you want to train. Secondly, I supply all of the fitness equipment needed, so you don't have to worry. And finally because you are training 1-2-1 or in a small group, your fitness programme is not being overlooked. I use a combination of free weights, kettlebells, sandbags, boxing gloves, pads, step, and much more equipment - whatever is required to get you looking the way you want to look!
